Answer the buyer before asking for an enquiry
A product website should help someone decide whether you can supply what they need. Begin with the product category, intended use, available sizes and the information needed for a quotation. A visitor should be able to reach a relevant product from the main navigation without guessing which marketing phrase describes it.
Create a repeatable product record
For each item, prepare a name, short description, dimensions, material options, finish and clear photographs. State whether dimensions are standard or made to order. If a specification changes, assign someone to update the web page and any downloadable document together. Publish certification details only when they apply and can be supported.
Make photographs useful
Include an overall view, a close detail and a view that communicates size. Use photographs you own or have permission to publish. Give files descriptive names and write image descriptions that explain the product. Do not put essential specifications only inside an image, where visitors cannot easily select or search the text.
Ask for the details needed to quote
A useful enquiry asks for product reference, quantity, delivery destination and required date. Allow buyers to describe a custom requirement without forcing them to select an unsuitable option. Explain what happens after submission and provide a call option if the visitor cannot use the form.
Review the mobile journey
Open a product page on a phone, read the specification table and try the contact action. Check that document links work and that the phone number is selectable. Try a slower connection as well. Large photographs and long downloads should support the buying decision rather than delay access to basic information.
Bring a small catalogue to the first discussion
Start with a representative set of products instead of waiting for every item to be documented. Share the categories, approved images and quotation questions with EXA. We can use those records to discuss page structure, editing responsibilities and the work required to keep the catalogue current.
